The Approach:

We developed the Sunbet Virtual Hunt, an augmented reality betting campaign that brought gamification into the real world. Using a web-based AR platform, players could scan their surroundings at Sunbet-sponsored events to uncover virtual assets. Each asset unlocked spins on a digital slot machine, giving users the chance to win free bets, branded prizes, and even a BMW.

The campaign combined geo-targeting, AR gamification, and a digital wallet system to track assets and prizes seamlessly. Because no app was required, onboarding was instant and accessible to all attendees. This interactive format didn’t just entertain, it showcased how immersive AR experiences can transform the betting industry.

The Results

  • 10% of all aware users travelled to Sunbet Time Square Casino to take part
