Infobip Saudi Retail Show Gamified Event Marketing Campaign

Infobip set out to launch a gamified event marketing campaign that would capture attention at the Saudi Retail Show and showcase the power of conversational AI. The goal was to engage attendees, drive traffic to the stand and demonstrate how communication channels can become interactive brand experiences.

 

 

Our Approach

We built a gamified, geolocation-based experience powered by a web app and WhatsApp integration, turning the event into an interactive journey.

Attendees explored the venue to discover interactive touchpoints representing Infobip’s core communication channels — WhatsApp, SMS and Email. Each interaction guided users closer to the Infobip stand, encouraging exploration and increasing engagement.

By combining chatbots, gamification and geolocation, the campaign transformed communication channels into interactive experiences while capturing valuable first-party data.

How It Worked

The experience was delivered through a mobile-first web app, accessible via a simple link with no app download required. Attendees were onboarded through a WhatsApp chatbot, enabling seamless registration and authentication.

Participants explored the venue to discover geolocated AR touchpoints, interacted with branded content and were guided toward the Infobip stand. Each interaction reinforced the brand’s communication ecosystem while driving participation.

By combining conversational entry, gamification and geolocation, the campaign created a seamless event experience that connected digital interaction with physical exploration.
