Sunbet Gamified Promotional Campaign
Sunbet set out to launch a gamified promotional campaign that would cut through a crowded betting market and create a more engaging way to connect with audiences. The goal was to drive participation at live events, reward players in real time and capture valuable first-party data.
Our Approach
We created a geolocation-based virtual hunt that turned live event environments into interactive game spaces. Players discovered virtual assets at Sunbet-sponsored locations, each unlocking spins on a digital reward mechanic.
This gamified approach encouraged movement, exploration and repeat participation. By combining gameplay with real-world rewards, the campaign reinforced engagement and built player loyalty throughout the activation.
How It Worked
The experience was delivered through a mobile-first, web-based journey, accessible via a simple link with no app download required. Distributed across event and digital communication channels, players could instantly enter the experience.
Participants explored their surroundings to discover geolocated assets, which unlocked spins on a digital slot mechanic. Each interaction gave players the chance to win rewards, including free bets and prizes.
A digital wallet tracked progress, encouraging users to return, continue playing and stay engaged over time.
By combining gamification, geolocation and rewards, the campaign transformed live event participation into an interactive experience while capturing high-quality first-party data for future marketing and loyalty initiatives.
